Georges St Pierre Plays Host To A Dinosaur Show

Monday, June 6th, 2016

Georges St Pierre has a different side to him. He loves to discover about dinosaurs when he is not in the ring fighting.

And the recent news is that there would be a TV series where Georges would be playing host and taking up the role of a paleontologist. For those who are waiting to see Georges get back to the ring and claim for another title in the UFC, they can view his new persona in a TV series he would be hosting for the History Channel. The show would be hosted for Canadian viewers.

The series has been aptly named The Boneyard. He would be putting on gloves and shoveling around to find fossils in places where the beasts are known to roam before. St Pierre is excited by the prospect. The series would be in two parts. It debuted in April. It gives Georges fans a chance to see a different side of him. Georges would be visiting the South Dakota badlands as well as swamps in Alabama and graveyards of Argentina where prehistoric life findings are apparent. (more…)

Georges St. Pierre hailed as the best by Sonnen

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC’s Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Championship contender Chael Sonnen has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the greatest fighter in the history of the promotion and he believes former UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is the man who can claim to be the best ever.

Sonnen, always the showman, has never been someone to hold back the punches and during a recent appearance at ESPN MMA as an analyst, he did just the same as he discussed the respective careers of former UFC Middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva and Rush.

With the Brazilian failing a drugs test, his reputation as the greatest fighter in UFC history has taken quite a hit. The American faced Silva twice during his career and despite the two losses, managed to become the arch nemesis of the Brazilian. (more…)

Weidman confident ahead of Silva rematch

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013

Chris Weidman turned on the style and brought out one of the greatest ever exhibitions of pure fighting skills when he defeated the long reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC Middleweight Champion, the legendary Anderson Silva at UFC 162, taking the belt off of him in a second round knockout of the Brazilian.

And now, as he had predicted earlier, the UFC has once again put him face to face against one of the most dominant Mixed Martial Artists of all time at UFC 168 with the title on the line once again but he remains as confident as he had been about facing The Spider the first time he was about to take him on, when almost everyone had written his chances off and didn’t even think he would last three rounds in the cage against the Brazilian.

Many people believe that Anderson will stop the showboating antics that he has become famous for and will go for a more hands down approach for the fight against Weidman but the American doesn’t think he will be so drastic in changing his stance.

Weidman mentioned that people are saying that Anderson will be very angry and the UFC will see a new Anderson when they face each other in the rematch for the title but he believes it is going to be easier than before. He also added that he is very happy with the situation and it is exactly that kind of place where he wanted to be.

Although he was knocked unconscious by Weidman, Silva remains the favorite to reclaim the title and the American believes the situation of being the underdog suits him just fine and he will be happy to prove his critics wrong and knock Anderson Silva out once again when they meet in December.
