Georges St-Pierre says he needs more time to prepare following the announcement of his comeback fight against Michael Bisping.

The fight was announced in March but GSP says he needs until late 2017 to get in shape.

UFC and Bisping have tried to convince him to bring the duel forward but GSP’s responses show that a summer showdown would likely not happen. The former welterweight champ recently claimed his eye was the issue.

GSP says UFC knew of his eye injury before pressuring him to take the fight. He said UFC and Bisping knew a July date was not feasible yet they wanted to force it. With the negative response surrounding the game, St-Pierre says he was forced to speak on the hindrances, something he never planned to. (more…)

Michael Bisping, the veteran fighter who went on last year to defeat Luke Rockhold in a shocking victory, has said that George St-Pierre, the UFC legend who has been away from the sport for about three years and half, is out of his mind.

This came on the heels of St-Pierre’s return back to the game, and with the announcement made by Dana White, UFC’s President that the two time welterweight champion will have a title shot against Bisping, middleweight champion.

Bisping however is not overly enthusiastic about the possibility of having his second title defense against St-Pierre, MMA’s greatest welterweight and believes that it was a ridiculous idea for him to feature in a matchup against the legend.

Speaking via TMZ, Bisping said: “Georges St-Pierre is straight-up crazy if he thinks he’ll be able to stroll off the couch after a three-year break and beat me. The guy’s out of his mind.” (more…)

Georges StPierre To Fight Against Robbie Lawler

If you are a fan of GSP or Georges St-Pierre they are sure to be delighted to hear the news of his imminent return this year.

There is a fight planned between him and Robbie Lawler among other fights. This will probably be held in New York as per report findings. GSP was a champion in the welterweight category and had this reputation before he vacated the belt in 2013. This happened after UFC 167. GSP has had it rough since the last fight that he had fought. However, champions are known to return and that is what he aims to do this year.

Most fans are hoping to find him in good form this year. He has been sitting on the sidelines for a long time. However, most fans are hoping that the time that he has taken off will help him come back in good form. His last fight had been with Hendricks which had done him considerable damage. Georges St Pierre Plays Host To A Dinosaur Show

Georges St Pierre has a different side to him. He loves to discover about dinosaurs when he is not in the ring fighting.

And the recent news is that there would be a TV series where Georges would be playing host and taking up the role of a paleontologist. For those who are waiting to see Georges get back to the ring and claim for another title in the UFC, they can view his new persona in a TV series he would be hosting for the History Channel. The show would be hosted for Canadian viewers.

The series has been aptly named The Boneyard. He would be putting on gloves and shoveling around to find fossils in places where the beasts are known to roam before. St Pierre is excited by the prospect. The series would be in two parts. It debuted in April. It gives Georges fans a chance to see a different side of him. Georges would be visiting the South Dakota badlands as well as swamps in Alabama and graveyards of Argentina where prehistoric life findings are apparent. (more…)

Georges St. Pierre hailed as the best by Sonnen

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship or the UFC’s Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Championship contender Chael Sonnen has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the greatest fighter in the history of the promotion and he believes former UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is the man who can claim to be the best ever.

Sonnen, always the showman, has never been someone to hold back the punches and during a recent appearance at ESPN MMA as an analyst, he did just the same as he discussed the respective careers of former UFC Middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva and Rush.

With the Brazilian failing a drugs test, his reputation as the greatest fighter in UFC history has taken quite a hit. The American faced Silva twice during his career and despite the two losses, managed to become the arch nemesis of the Brazilian. (more…)

Joe Schilling Has A Very Busy Year Ahead According To His Manager

This year is going to be a busy one for Joe Schilling. Schilling wants to participate in both the Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts matches this year. Joe Schilling fights in the middleweight category and has a contract with Bellator, and very recently he has entered into a contract with Glory Kickboxing. Schilling is all set to fight Robert Thomas on 6th February at Glory 19 which is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles. Various well known mixed martial arts websites published the news of Joe Shilling signing with Glory.

Joe Shilling had a very successful kickboxing career. In his kickboxing career he won 17 matches and lost only seven. He won eleven matches by knocking his opponent out. The last kickboxing match Schilling fought was against Artem Levin in 2014 at Glory 17. Schilling lost the match. (more…)
